Oakridge Landscape Contractors is hiring a Tool Crib and Yard Assistant to join our Hamilton team.
Location: Hamilton.
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour.
Benefits: Available after three months.
RRSP: Company program available.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Tool Crib and Yard Foreperson with:
- Signing tools and equipment in and out and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Inspecting tools and red-tagging damaged or unsafe equipment.
- Organizing materials, tools, equipment, pallets, and other company assets.
- Keeping the tool crib, yard, shop, parking areas, and common areas clean and safe.
- Loading trucks and preparing tools and materials for crews.
- Completing basic property maintenance, minor repairs, and seasonal duties.
Requirements:
- At least one year of construction, labour, yard, or similar experience.
- Valid G driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Reliable transportation to the Hamilton yard.
- The tool crib opens at 5:30am. This role is 8am-5pm typically
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong organization, communication, and basic computer skills.
- Must be able to safely operate a skid steer, riding lawn mower, and lawn maintenance power tools.
- Basic carpentry, repair, or other trade skills are considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn backhoe operation for winter maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts when required.
