Social Media Specialist

At Oakridge Landscape Contractors, we’ve been building and maintaining landscapes across Southern Ontario for over 30 years. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Social Media Specialist who can bring creativity, strategy, and consistency to our online presence.
What the role looks like
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll take the lead on social media while supporting broader marketing initiatives.

- Content Creator: Manage social media accounts and create engaging posts, photos, and videos
- Brand Voice: Maintain a consistent and professional brand presence across all platforms
- Campaign Support: Assist with email marketing campaigns and digital initiatives
- Web Updates: Help maintain and update website content
- Research & Insights: Conduct market research and track trends to inform content strategy
- Event Coverage: Capture photo and video content at company events and job sites
- Creative Development: Develop marketing materials such as brochures and presentations
- Performance Tracking: Monitor analytics and generate reports on campaign performance
- Digital Ads: Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns, including keyword research and analysis
- Team Support: Keep marketing projects organized and moving forward
What we’re looking for
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, marketing, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and content trends
- Experience with content creation (photo, video, graphics)
- Familiarity with graphic design tools and marketing software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Creative thinker with attention to detail
- Comfortable analyzing performance metrics and adjusting strategy
- Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities

Pay: $40,000/year
