Now Hiring: Landscape Residential Lead Hand.
- Location: 340 Regional Road 20, Hannon, ON, L0R1P0.
- Salary: $24.50-29.87/hr.

Roles and Responsibilities:
General:
- 3 to 5 years Industry experience as a Lead Hand.
- Experience and capability of managing crews in place of foreperson.
- Review the project before beginning work and ensure that quality workmanship is evident on each project.
- Ensure that each day an informal morning tailgate is discussed with crew members regarding any safety issues that must be rectified and/or avoided on each site.
- Measure production targets and be prepared to be accountable for any short falls.
- Maintain positive and open communications with Foreperson, Superintendents, Owners, PM’s, General Contractors etc.
- Attend and participate in meetings (project management, safety, etc.)
- Ensure all the necessary equipment is available on site each day to complete the work.
- Count tools and prioritize the return of each item to the shop or safely storage each night.
- Daily, manage labour force, equipment usage, materials and sub trades on the project; also measure production targets and be accountable for any short falls.
- Inspect each project the day of its completion to ensure that all aspects of required work are completed.
- Make housekeeping a priority on every job site. Train assigned work crew to always maintain a clean and organized work site.
- Instruct crew on the job site (location) they are to report to the following day.
- Alert the Foreperson of any issues from beginning to end of a project and suggest ways to improve the problem.
- Be familiar with each employee's responsibilities.
- Assist foreperson as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license G license.
- Must maintain a clean driver abstract.
- Ability to read landscape blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of elevations (grading), ability to use a laser level and transit +.
- General knowledge or recognition of hard landscape materials. i.e. paving stone, precast wall, etc.
- General knowledge or recognition of proper planting techniques as well as some plant identification
- Strong knowledge on the use of various tools and equipment.
- Strong ability managing snow removal projects and a willingness to work hours associated with it.
- Strong knowledge of job safety and safe work habits.
- Ability to represent our organization to our clients in a positive and professional manner.
- Willingness to upgrade knowledge and skills by attending additional courses and training.
