Oakridge Landscape Contractor is seeking a Human Resources Generalist with a strong emphasis on recruiting to support our growing team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing full-cycle recruitment with core HR generalist responsibilities, including onboarding, employee records management, policy support, and employee relations. The successful candidate will help attract top talent while supporting day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced environment.
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, offer preparation, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, define role requirements, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and applicant tracking systems.
- Conduct resume reviews and preliminary interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment records, prepare hiring reports, and track key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and source effectiveness.
- Coordinate and support onboarding activities, including employment documentation, orientation scheduling, trainings and new hire follow-up.
- Maintain employee files and HR records in accordance with privacy requirements, employment standards, and internal policies.
- Support managers and employees with HR-related inquiries involving policies, procedures, leaves, and employee relations matters.
- Assist with the administration and communication of HR policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation and internal HR processes.
- Participate in job fairs, community outreach, and employer branding initiatives to strengthen talent pipelines.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated success in full-cycle recruitment.
- Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, interviewing techniques, and candidate experience principles.
- Working knowledge of applicable employment standards and human rights obligations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- CHRP designation or progress toward designation is considered an asset.
- Experience recruiting in construction/landscape construction is considered an asset.
