Oakridge is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Grounds Superintendent for the Western area to oversee year-round exterior maintenance operations for commercial properties.
Job Title: Grounds Superintendent
Location: Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge
Pay: $60,000 to 70,000 Annually
- Company Vehicle and Gas Card.

Job Duties:
Our Grounds Superintendent works to ensure our crews operate with the utmost care and efficiency to reflect a high standard of workmanship. The following is intended only as a general description and should be considered the minimum required to fulfill this job role.
Our Grounds Superintendent works to ensure our crews operate with the utmost care and efficiency to reflect a high standard of workmanship. The following is intended only as a general description and should be considered the minimum required to fulfill this job role.
- Maintain knowledge of site layouts and key infrastructure (alarm panels, roof hatches, hydrants, utility rooms, etc.).
- Supervise and coordinate multiple grounds-keeping properties & crews.
- Manage outdoor janitorial services.
- Plan and coordinate snow and ice removal operations during winter.
- Ensure all work meets contractual scope and service standards.
- Conduct site inspections, address maintenance needs, and make timely decisions to resolve operational issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 – 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
- An asset: Degree or diploma in Horticulture, Construction, Landscape, Applied Technology, or Construction Management.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make quick and smart decisions.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Knowledge of HVAC and general maintenance practices.
