About the Job
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our soil, mulch, and aggregate bulk supply business. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, practical yard experience, and a customer-focused mindset.
Location: 340 Regional Road 20, Hannon.
Employment Type: Ridge Soils.
Pay: $25/hr.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager with daily operations of the yard and retail counter.
- Supervise staff and coordinate workloads.
- Provide excellent customer service and product advice.
- Manage stock levels, deliveries, and supplier coordination.
- Operate and oversee loading products.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Handle cash, invoicing, and basic administrative tasks.
- Step in as Acting Manager when required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping supplies, quarry, hardware, or bulk materials preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on environment.
- Confident communicating with customers and staff.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale skills.
- Loader operator (or willingness to obtain).
